Six  things to keep in mind to prepare for a normal delivery

 


Today I will share with you some facts from my medical experience. Nowadays people are learning a lot through technology. Again, many are applying that knowledge to themselves little by little. It is good only when it is in accordance with the advice of an expert. Otherwise, many times pregnant mothers are forced to have a caesarean section even if they want a normal delivery. But without further ado, let's share the cases of my two patients as well as some important things I don't know about preparing for a normal delivery.

Cases of two pregnant women with normal delivery

Case-1

The patient and her husband came and informed them that they were preparing for a normal delivery. These include homeopathic medicines, not taking too many vitamin medicines (because the baby will grow up) and eating oily foods (delivery will be easier). Although I was a little disappointed to hear, I waited for the delivery pain to rise. When the pain finally arose, a caesarean section was performed at the request of the patient and his relatives.

Case-2

As the only daughter of the parents, this patient was very happy. Usually seen girls are interested in caesarean section. However, he said that he is willing to have a normal baby, so he is watching various videos from YouTube every day and taking advice and exercising. Later it was found that her placenta was located below the uterus. So the baby had to be delivered by caesarean section in the end.

The above two scenes are of my two patients who came from very different positions in society. Both of them wanted to have a normal delivery but in the end they had a caesarean delivery. In fact normal delivery is a normal process. There is no need to try unusual ways. Nowadays, however, mothers are seen to follow superstitions due to lack of proper guidance and move away from the normal and easy path. So here are some guidelines on how mothers can properly prepare for a normal delivery.

Six things to prepare for normal delivery

1) Normal body weight


The first condition for preparing for a normal delivery is to keep the weight normal. Maintain a healthy lifestyle so that body weight (BMI) remains normal. If the weight is less or more than normal, the chances of normal delivery are reduced and various complications can occur during delivery.

2) To control blood pressure and diabetes


Those who have various medical problems such as pressure or diabetes before pregnancy should follow the advice of a regular doctor so that these problems are under control during pregnancy.

3) Normal delivery can be done even after Caesar


Those who have had a caesarean section may also try to have a normal delivery later. But it will depend on what caused the previous Caesar and some more factors. This delivery is practiced in some corporate hospitals in Bangladesh.

4) Medium quality exercise


 Mothers should continue normal activities from the beginning of pregnancy. Except for some pregnant mothers (placenta previa, preterm delivery history, etc.), everyone can do light to moderate exercise and walk 20 minutes three to four days a week. Many people think that if she is pregnant, she should be at rest now. This increases the risk of various medical disorders including diabetes, pressure, weight gain and reduces the chances of normal delivery.

5) Be mentally prepared

Mental preparation plays a big role here. All mothers should remember that normal delivery is a difficult process but it has benefits for both mother and baby. And the mental preparation to endure the delivery pain should not be taken only by the mother. The encouragement and support of others in the family is very important in this case.

6) Delivery pain

No medication or food is required to relieve delivery pain. It is a God-given process that is normal. It is possible to raise the delivery pain through induction under the supervision of a doctor even after waiting for a certain period of time. For this, you should consult a gynecologist without much tension or worry.
